About MaestroCut
MaestroCut is a web-based video studio that turns a one-sentence brief into short, beat-synced promo videos in your brand colors for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn. The script, copy, colors, music and edit are prepared for you, and every frame is checked against the platform's safe zone.
Why it exists
Small businesses need short videos all the time: an opening, a new menu, a launch, a sale. Making one well means writing a hook that reads in a second, sizing the frame for each platform, finding music you are allowed to use and cutting it to the beat. Most owners don't have the hours or the budget for that, so the video either never gets made or looks like everyone else's template.
MaestroCut started as a rendering engine (PromoMagic) that turns a structured film document into frames, scene by scene, on the beat. A director layer came next: it reads a one-line brief and plans the film the way an editor would. The studio puts both in your browser.
How it works, honestly
From one sentence to an MP4: every step is either rule-based code or AI that is checked by rules.
You describe it
Write what you promote in a sentence or two. Optionally add your logo, photos and brand colors.
A rule-based director plans
Your industry, niche and brand personality are recognized from our playbooks; the story format, scene count, tempo and style are chosen by deterministic rules, not by a language model.
Free AI models write, rules check
Free language models (via OpenRouter) only fill in the scene copy. Every line is checked for word limits, reading time, invented numbers and forbidden claims. If no model answers, a rule-based writer takes over.
Music is composed
An original, royalty-free score is composed for the energy of your scenes; cuts land on bar lines and accents on beats.
You choose and edit
Three visual directions play live; you change the copy, colors, music and scenes. Previews are free.
The engine renders
The PromoMagic engine renders HTML, SVG and WebGL frames into a 1080p H.264 MP4, checking every frame against the platform's safe zone.

Principles
- No invented claimsVideos only use what you tell us. The writer may not make up numbers, awards, customers or superlatives, and the checker removes any line that tries.
- Music you may useBy default every score is composed for its video. If you pick a real track instead, the library only offers CC0 and CC BY music by independent artists, and the credit line is added for you. Never copyrighted hits.
- PrivacyOnly the text of your brief goes to a language model, to write your copy. Your logo and photos are processed by our own code, used only in your videos and never sent to a model. Your videos are yours.
- ReadabilityEvery line follows a reading-time rule, every color pair a contrast threshold, every frame the platform's safe zone.
- Fair pricingPreviews are free; credits are spent only on export, per second. Failed exports are refunded automatically.

Frequently asked questions
What is MaestroCut?
+
MaestroCut is a web-based video studio that turns a one-sentence brief into short, beat-synced promo videos in your brand colors for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
Is MaestroCut free?
+
You get 60 free credits on sign-up and a gift of 10 credits every day. Previews and edits are free; credits are spent only when you export, based on the video's length.
Is the music in MaestroCut videos copyrighted?
+
No. By default the music is composed for each video by a rule-based synthesizer. If you choose a track from the free library, it is CC0 or CC BY music by an independent artist, which allows commercial use; CC BY tracks need a credit line, which MaestroCut adds to your caption.
What technology does MaestroCut use?
+
Videos are rendered frame by frame from HTML, SVG and WebGL by the PromoMagic engine and encoded as H.264. The copy is written by free language models accessed through OpenRouter and corrected by a rule-based checker; planning, music and safe-zone checks are rule-based code.
