Refund Policy

In short Last updated:

Paddle.com is the merchant of record for MaestroCut: it takes the payments and handles refunds. Within 14 days of a payment you can get a refund for an unused credit pack or for subscription credits you haven’t used; the refunded credits leave your balance. Failed exports refund their credits automatically, and credits never expire. Questions: info@maestrocut.com.

1.Who takes the payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes the payments, issues the invoices, provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your card or payment details never reach us.

2.14-day refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment:

  • Credit packs: if the pack’s credits are unused, the whole pack is refunded.
  • Subscriptions (Editor, Director, Maestro): if the monthly plan credits that payment added are unused, that payment is refunded.
  • When a refund is approved, the credits that payment added are taken back from your balance.
  • Requests after the credits were used, or after 14 days, are handled as far as consumer law allows; nothing here limits your statutory rights.

3.How to ask for a refund

  • Write to info@maestrocut.com from your account’s e-mail address with the purchase date or the order number on your Paddle receipt.
  • You can also contact Paddle directly through the link in the receipt e-mail Paddle sent you, or at paddle.net.
  • Approved refunds are sent back by Paddle to the payment method you used; depending on your bank this can take a few business days.

4.Cancelling a subscription

  • You can cancel at any time in the studio under Account → Plan & billing → “Manage billing”, which opens the Paddle billing portal.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals; your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period; within 14 days of a payment you can ask for a refund as described above.
  • The credits in your account stay after you cancel; credits never expire.

5.Automatic credit refunds

  • If an export fails, if you cancel it, or if no render server starts it in time, the credits spent on it go back to your balance automatically.
  • If a Writers’ Room ends without producing any ideas, its fee is refunded automatically.
  • These are credit refunds, not money refunds.

6.Chargebacks

If a payment is disputed through your bank (a chargeback), the credits that payment added can be taken back from your balance. Writing to us first usually solves the problem faster.
